My baby shower was one of my most favorite things to happen since I’ve been pregnant! It filled my heart to see how loved baby girl Shandler already is and how much support we have as we take the plunge into parenthood. And baby girl is already spoiled – her closet is amazing and I can’t wait to take photos of her in adorable outfits that the people closest to us have picked for her! We also asked guests to bring books instead of cards, and I love how diverse baby girl’s library is already! It’ll be precious to read her stories and think about the special people who gave them to her each time.
My mom, stepmom and mother-in-law cohosted a beautiful rustic soiree at the most perfect Kansas lake setting, Lakeview just north of Lawrence. I’ve captured some of my most favorite details below, including our orange, lemon and pink champagne cake from Mad Eliza’s, floral and succulent centerpieces and “From my shower to yours” favors. The shower was held in a 100-year-old lodge overlooking the lake. We incorporated pink, light purple, gold and white throughout the decor to match our nursery and used greenery and rustic tins to complement the natural wood elements in the lodge.
